KP Astrology is one of the best astrological technique developed by well-known Indian astrologer Late Mr. K.S Krishnamurthi. And nowadays the popularity of this technique is booming among astrologers due to its well defined clear rules and theories.

What is KP New Astro?

    I am trying to install and run the software in Windows 7 professional 64bit OS. it installs fine.

    When I run the softawre it gives me the following error message:

    Run-time error '332' :
    Component 'COMCTL32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not corretly registered; a file is missing or invalid.

    Then it exits. So i can not do anything with the downloaded program.

    Source is also not readable. let me what else i need to see the source code.

    This software was not tested on win7. So please follow the instruction below the download link.
    (Download and install VB6-SP6 run time files)

    To read the source, install vb6-sp6 on your computer.

    I have MS Visual Studio 2008 installed in my computer.

    Is this program written using Visual Studio earlier than MS Visual Studio 2008?

    This S/W was written using MS Visual Basic 6 (Visual Studio 2000).

    vb6-sp6 means "Visual Basic 6 with Service Pack 6."

    To read the source you need to install Visual Basic 6.

    If you are a Visual Basic.NET user, you can convert visual basic 6 codes to visual basic.net codes using your visual basic.net IDE.

    But you will have to convert some parts of source codes manually. Visual Basic.NET IDE will inform that.

    Yes I have used used Swiss Ephemeris. Hope the source code may be a guide for u. But be careful, the horary-cusp calculation part and some functions of this s/w are not written by me. I see very poor coding there.

    Dear JSW,

    I have your software beautifully installed with Windows 7 on my office pc and home laptop. Only one occasional problem at both places. The four-step significations are repeated several times causing confusion (like 1,2,1,2, 3,6,3,6,1,2...) Can you please check and correct?

    If you can give the dasas upto antara levels (third level), it would be much helpful. Now I have to go to Junior Jyothish and apply the correction for ayanamsa to get the antara values. Cumbersome. They (JJ) have the dasas upto antara level.

    Can you please break the dasha onto at least 3 tages, ie Sub-Sub level. More over that if the dasha can be breaked up on to degree parametrers, on to sub sub level, it would really be a marvellous part in your software.

    You did marvelous work. I am impressed.

    1. Horary section time does not update automatically. I have to switch between tabs.

    2. ADD, EDIT and DELETE feature to save place information. So the users can add favorite places. One drop-down list per section (Natal & Horary) to select saved places.

    Hi JSW,
    1. In natal chart, input row does not allow period and space. These are used by many people when entering the name.
    2. When we see ruling planets in natal chart:
    Ruling planets of Natal is of the birth date, time and place are in order.
    Current ruling planets are based on current date and time from the computer but the place is of the birth, which is not correct. This data may lead to wrong prediction. Hence location of astrologer at the time of prediction to be entered. Please provide additional rows for name of place, lattitude and longitude. We have to take this input and the current time of the computer (set for local time).
